Twenty tents facing the sunset, with comfortable beds, walled en-suite facilities, mosquito netting and all of the comfortable amenities expected of a lodge.
Each tent has a private veranda under a roof of local straw (makuti) that creates the perfect place for reading, writing or just resting in the shade.
The dining area, bar and lounge are all shaded by a makuti roof with views of the Rufiji River offers a well stocked bar and international cuisine.
Fourteen tents on wooden platforms with thatched roofs all have en suite bathroom facilities. All the tents can be double, twin, single or triple rooms. Extra beds can be added for children. The tents are fully furnished and are mosquito proof – spray is provided.
A structure in the central part of the camp hosts the restaurant, bar and library, all with a view of the river and the sunset. All of the camp structures, kitchen included, are constantly being renovated, attaining the highest level of comfort.
Electricity and hot water are powered by solar panels. Electricity is provided by a generator – 24V with UK style 3 pin sockets. However it is not powered for 24 hours but is available for lighting and recharging batteries but not for hairdryers.
