Stanley Safari Lodge

Exclusive Lodge, 10 Cottages
Country:
Zambia
Operator:
Robin Pope Safaris
Introduction:

Set on a hill bordering the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and overlooking unspoilt bush, Stanley Safari Lodge is only 3km from the Victoria Falls. This lodge has a truly African feel, offers air conditioning and other luxuries, evoking the colonial elegance of Stanley and Livingstone.

The views are splendid; the spray of the Falls in the distance, the mighty Zambezi river and on top of that yet another view of the beautiful African sunset. From either the main garden, the infinity pool or from the privacy of your room, views are unmatched.

Accommodation and Facilities:

Each and every one of the 10 cottages is individually designed and unique. But what makes Stanley Safari Lodge really special is the open design of many of its rooms.

From every room you are able to see the spray of the Victoria Falls, the Zambezi River and the African sunset.

Four of the rooms are suites, each having a private plunge pool with deck or terrace, a lounge area, a bedroom and a bathroom with bath and separate shower. The Honeymoon Suite and Family Suite are open suites, which enable you to fully absorb the sights and sounds of the African bush. The Livingstone Suite and Stanley Suite are closed suites with a colonial interior that evoke the elegant era of Stanley and Livingstone.

The cottages, 6 in total, are all safari style built with natural materials. Baobab is a closed cottage, but all the other cottages; Birds Room, Zambezi View, Mukuni, Mosi-oa-Tunya and Victoria, have an open structure to enhance your Zambian experience. All these cottages have a bath and shower with all the luxuries you might desire. From the deck or terrace you can enjoy the splendid views of the Zambezi Valley.

Activities:

The range of activities in the Livingstone area (including the Victoria Falls) is enormous. All of these activities do involve, at least to a certain extent, the Victoria Falls or the Zambezi River.

You can view the Falls from across the gorge or from Livingstone Island, or you can opt for a helicopter or micro-light flight to enjoy the Falls from above. You might want to go on the river for a sunset cruise, river safari, canoe trip or, for the more adventurous, go rafting on one of the best rafting trips in the world. If you still desired more adventure, you can go for a bungee jump, gorge swing or abseil.

For wildlife you can go to Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in Zambia, Chobe National Park in Botswana or Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. You can get up close and personal on an elephant ride or lion walk. Livingstone has it all!

Dine outdoors under the stars, in the privacy of your suite or even by the infinity pool.
