Sanctuary Baines’ Camp is located on the Boro River, set amongst the shady trees and water of the Okavango Delta, on a private concession neighbouring the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp, named after the famous 19th century explorer Sir Thomas Baines, features five luxurious suites set on elevated platforms in the tree line, with wooden decks that offer expansive views over the permanent water of the river and a lagoon teaming with life. The elevated suites each contain a luxury bedroom and ensuite facilities. The four-poster beds are fully mobile, giving guests the choice of slumbering under star laden skies.
Sanctuary Baines’ Camp is located on the Boro River, in the 260,000 acre private concession NG32 which neighbours the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is accessible by air from Maun (15 minutes), Kasane (1 hour 30 minutes) and all other delta camps. The camp has its own registered private airstrip located approximately 50 minutes from the camp. Please note that the luggage restriction is 20kg per person in a soft-sided bag.
Accommodation and Facilities:
The camp features five suites set on elevated platforms with wooden decks. The suites feature a luxury bedroom, en-suite facilities and private viewing deck. The four-poster beds are fully mobile and can easily be wheeled out onto the private wooden deck if guests want to enjoy a night under the stars, overlooking the shining waters of the Boro River. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, ceiling fan, in-room safe and mini-bar. There is a swimming pool with two thatched 'salas' on either side. Electricity, 240 volts, is supplied by a combination of a silent packed generator and battery system allowing 24-hour power supply.
Rates include: Accommodation, all meals & drinks (except premium brands), two daily game-viewing activities, park fees, laundry, emergency evacuation and transfers to and from the airstrip.
Rates exclude: Inter camp flights and the elephant interaction activity.
