Governors’ Private Camp
Governors’’ Camp is located on the banks of the Mara River in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
Governors’ Camp has been a pioneer of safaris in Africa for 30 years. Since it established its first luxury safari camp on the site once reserved for Kenya’s colonial Governors’, it has kept the name and the best of the traditions of those times. Millions of wildebeest gather in the Masai Mara in one of the natural wonders of the world. Staying in one of the Governors’ Camp properties puts you right in the heart of the action, closer than anyone else to its incredible sights and sounds.
The camp has 37 tents (74 beds) with en-suite bathrooms. Each tent is luxurious, and has its own private balcony.
Enjoy the pleasure of an exclusive luxury safari camp, all to yourself, where every whim can be satisfied. Governors’ offers an unpretentious luxury safari, ideal for honeymooners and for special celebrations.
This camp is the world’s first luxury tented safari camp, set in Africa’s prime wildlife real estate – the Masai Mara.
The Masai Mara has an unrivalled flow of wildlife throughout the year. From July to October, the Mara sees 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti plains in their annual search for the seasonal grasses that sustain them. This is a site not to be missed.
Other activities include game walks, balloon flights and day excursions to Lake Victoria.
